Terms and Conditions

1. Scope

These terms apply to all contracts concluded through this online shop between STIG International Gemstone FZCO DMCC ("STIG") and the customer. Deviating terms of the customer are not accepted unless STIG expressly agrees to them in writing.

2. Conclusion of contract

The presentation of diamonds in the shop is not a binding offer but an invitation to order. By completing payment on the payment page of our provider Stripe the customer makes a binding offer. The contract is concluded when STIG accepts the order by sending the order confirmation by e-mail. Every diamond is unique; should a stone no longer be available despite an order, the customer is informed without delay and any payment made is refunded.

3. Prices and payment

All prices are in the currency shown and include insured shipping. Import duties and taxes in the destination country are borne by the customer unless agreed otherwise. Payment is made via Stripe (credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, SEPA direct debit); bank transfer and USDT are available by arrangement. For SEPA direct debit the contract counts as paid once the amount has been credited.

4. Delivery

Delivery is made insured by a valuables courier to the address given at the order, usually within 7 to 14 working days after receipt of payment. Handover takes place only against proof of identity of the recipient. The original laboratory certificate is handed over with the stone.

5. Retention of title

The diamond remains the property of STIG until paid in full.

6. Right of withdrawal

Consumers resident in the European Union have a statutory right of withdrawal. Details in the cancellation policy. Beyond that, STIG grants no voluntary return or exchange.

7. Warranty

Statutory warranty rights apply. The characteristics of a diamond are those stated in the certificate of the respective laboratory (GIA, IGI, HRD Antwerp); the presentation in the shop, in particular the 3D view, is illustrative and not a guarantee of quality.

8. Liability

STIG is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. For slightly negligent breach of essential contractual duties liability is limited to the typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise liability is excluded.

9. Anti-money-laundering

As a gemstone dealer STIG is obliged to identify its customers. On request the customer must provide suitable proof of identity and of the origin of funds. Without such proof STIG may withdraw from the contract.

10. Governing law, jurisdiction

The law of the United Arab Emirates applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For consumers resident in the EU, mandatory consumer protection provisions of their state of residence remain unaffected. Place of jurisdiction is Dubai, as far as legally permissible.
