Asscher cut
The Asscher cut is the square step cut with deeply cut corners that looks almost octagonal from above – introduced in 1902 by the Asscher cutting works in Amsterdam. Here you find every Asscher in our offer with a GIA report.
The report says "Square Emerald Cut" or "Cut-Cornered Square Step Cut"; "Asscher" is the trade name. The concentric facets create the characteristic view into the depth (the "windmill" effect). As with the emerald cut, clarity is especially important because the open table does not hide inclusions – grades from VS1 are advisable.
What to look at: length-to-width ratio 1.00–1.05, high crown, small table. Polish and symmetry should be "Excellent" or "Very Good"; there is no GIA cut grade.
The listing below shows Asscher cuts only. Every report number can be verified with the laboratory.

Guide
At STIG International you choose natural diamonds with a GIA report online: find the stone in the listing, verify its report number with the laboratory and send us an enquiry. We confirm availability, price and delivery time in writing; only then do you pay by bank transfer and receive the stone insured with the original certificate.
Every diamond in the listing is a specific, individual stone with its own report number – no placeholder, no sample goods. With the configurator you narrow the offer by cut (round brilliant, princess, emerald, pear, marquise, cushion, oval), carat, colour, clarity, cut grade, polish, symmetry, fluorescence and price. Carat is a unit of weight: 1 ct = 0.2 g. Colour is graded from D (colourless) to Z, clarity from FL (flawless) to I3.
The stone's page shows every value exactly as it appears on the report, plus a 3D model of the cut. The price is in US dollars; shipping is insured and free of charge from a goods value of EUR 900. Import VAT, customs duties and other import charges in the destination country are not included in the price; they are collected on delivery and paid by the recipient.
Every stone carries a report from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). The report number on the stone's page links straight to GIA Report Check, which shows the laboratory's original data. Compare weight, colour, clarity and measurements with ours before you buy. The report number is usually also laser-inscribed, microscopically small, on the girdle.
You add the stone to your selection and pay in the Shopify checkout. Import charges of your destination country are not included; you pay them on delivery. On request we also send you a written offer by e-mail or WhatsApp; you then pay by bank transfer.
The stone is shipped insured with a specialised courier and handed over only against proof of identity. Shipment takes place within 1 to 6 weeks after receipt of payment. The laboratory's original certificate is enclosed. Stones from our own stock can be viewed or collected at our office in Dubai by appointment. Import VAT, customs duties and other import charges in the destination country are not included in the price; they are collected on delivery and paid by the recipient.
Consumers in the EU have a statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days from receipt of the stone. We do not offer voluntary returns beyond that. Details are in the cancellation policy and the terms and conditions.
STIG International Gemstone FZCO is licensed in the DMCC free zone in Dubai (licence DMCC-1007195, registration no. DMCC204082). Every stone in the shop is offered with a GIA report whose number you can verify online yourself. We are a dealer, not an investment adviser: we sell a physical product and make no statements about price developments.

Transparency & integrity
A natural diamond is a physical product that is passed on across generations. Whoever buys one should know what it is and where the offer comes from: every stone in this overview is offered with a GIA report. We confirm availability, price and delivery time in writing before you buy.
The report number takes you straight to the original at GIA — check for yourself before you talk to us.
A gift for generations
To give a diamond is to give something that stays. Whether as a loose stone in a sealed blister or set later into a ring, a necklace or earrings — the decision about the setting can wait; the one about the stone cannot.
Choose the stone first. For the setting we accompany you and work with goldsmiths we have known for years.
Quality criteria
The four Cs — carat, colour, clarity, cut — are the beginning, not the end. Add polish, symmetry and fluorescence, which the laboratory grades as well, and the report's note on whether any treatment was detected. The report makes all of it verifiable.
That is why we show every value exactly as it appears on the report — and link the report.
Our promise
We deal in natural diamonds with a report from the GIA (Gemological Institute of America); the report number is linked in the shop and can be checked at the institute in seconds.
Stones from our own stock can be viewed by appointment at our office in Dubai; partner stones come from the stock of selected partner dealers. Prices are in US dollars; import charges in the destination country are paid by the recipient on delivery.
