Who we are
STIG International Gemstone FZCO DMCC is registered in the commercial register of the DMCC free zone (Dubai Multi Commodities Centre) under number DMCC-1007195. The CEO is Patrick Stöger. The company is part of STIG GROUP; the group site is stiggroup.com.
Address: STIG International Gemstone FZCO DMCC, HDS Business Centre, Cluster M, Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The same address appears in the imprint, the terms and conditions and on our invoices.
The DMCC is authority and free zone in one: it licenses the companies based there and prescribes compliance, KYC and anti-money-laundering rules. The registration can be checked through the DMCC's public company directory.
What we sell – and what we do not
We sell natural, untreated diamonds as a physical product. Every stone in the shop is a specific, individual stone with its own report number from an independent laboratory (GIA, IGI or HRD Antwerp).
We are a dealer, not an investment adviser. We make no statements about the price development of diamonds and offer no financial products and no buy-back guarantees.
How you can verify every stone
The report number of every stone is linked on its page directly to the laboratory's verification service: GIA Report Check, IGI Verify or HRD Antwerp. There you see the laboratory's original data and can compare them with ours. We show every value exactly as it appears on the report.
The original certificate is enclosed with every delivery. After receipt you can have the stone matched against the report by an independent gemmologist or jeweller – weight, measurements, laser inscription, plotting diagram. Our guide describes how.
Origin
We source only diamonds whose origin is documented under the Kimberley Process and pass on the origin warranty under the World Diamond Council's System of Warranties on our invoices. More on the certifications page and in the guide article on the Kimberley Process.
Payment and escrow
In the shop you pay via Stripe (credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, SEPA direct debit); card details are entered at Stripe only and never reach our servers. Bank transfer is available by arrangement.
For the escrow handling of larger purchases we work with the law firm Kayrouz & Associates in Dubai: the purchase price is paid into an escrow account and released only after the stone has been handed over under the agreed conditions.
Shipping and handover
Every stone is shipped insured with a specialised courier, usually within 7 to 14 working days, and handed over only against proof of identity to the person named on the order. The shop price includes insured shipping. We clarify with you before the purchase which import charges apply in your country.
Withdrawal and warranty
Consumers in the EU have a statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days from receipt; details are in the cancellation policy. We do not offer voluntary returns beyond that. Statutory warranty rights apply; the characteristics of a stone are those stated in the laboratory's report.
Complaints
We accept complaints in writing by post to the address above or by e-mail to compliance@stig-international.com, handle them free of charge and reply promptly. The procedure is described on the complaint management page.
